  In the name of God Amen the tenth day of May in the yeare of our Lord God One Thowsand six hundred Seaventy three I William Streatfield of Rotherfield in the County of Sussex Mercer being sickly and weake in body but of sound and perfect memory I give God thankes therefore do make and ordeyne this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following First I give and bequeath my soule into the handes of God my Creator hoping of full pardon and remission of all my sinnes by the death and meritts of my Saviour Jesus Christ and my body to be decently buried according to the discretion of my Executor hereafter named and for my worldly goods and estate wherewith it hath pleased God to blesse me withall I doe dispose and bequeath thereof as followeth Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my Brother Robert Streatfield of Westerham in the County of Kent yeoman the summe of five poundes of lawfull money of England to be paid unto him by my Executor within one yeare next after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my said Brother Robert Streatfield his two daughters Mary Streatfield and Barbara Streatfield to each of them Fifty pounds of good money to be paid unto them at their severall ages of one and twenty years but if it shall happen that either of them shall depart his life before she shall atteyne and accomplish the age of one and twenty yeares that then the survivor of them shall have and receive of my Executor the said summe of Fifty poundes at such tyme as she should have accomplished the said age of one and twenty years if she had lived to atteyn the said age Item I give and bequeath unto my Brother John Streatfield the summe of One hundred and twenty poundes of lawfull money of England to be paid unto him by my Executor within one yeare next after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto Mary Streatfield wife of my said Brother John Streatfield Twenty shillings And I give and bequeath unto Thomas Streatfield Mary Streatfield and Elizabeth Streatfield the sonne and daughters of my said Brother John Streatfield Twenty shillings apiece to be paid unto the said John Streatfield their Father for their use by my Executor Item I give and bequeath unto my brother Edward Streatfield forty shillings a yeare to be paid unto him by twenty shillings every halfe yeare during his naturall life by my Executor Item I give and bequeath unto the poor of the parish of Retherfield Tenn poundes of good money to be distributed amongst them at the discretion of my Executor within one yeare next after my decease Item I do give bequeath and devise unto Richard Streatfield my Brother my house barnes buildings with their appurtenances theireunto belonging and all my landes whatsoever with their appurtenances belonging scituate lying and being in Retherfield aforesaid To have and to hold the said house barnes and buildings with their appurtenances and the said landes with their appurtenances to my said Brother Richard Streatfield and his heires for ever And I do further give and bequeath unto my said Brother Richard Streatfield all the rest and residue of my goods Chattells ready money and personall estate whatsoever not formerly bequeathed upon Condicion that he shall pay all my debts legacies and the said annuity And I doe make Constitute and ordeyne my said Brother Richard Streatfield sole Executor of this my last will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and yeare above written William Streatfield Signed sealed published and declared to be the last will and Testament of William Streatfield above written in the presence of us John Smith John Daunton
