The fourth day of October, in the yeare of our Lord God one thousandsix hundred sixty one, I Richard Chambers of Denton in ye County of Sussex Yeoman, being sicke & weake in body, but yet of good & perfect memory, blessed be God for it, doe make thismy last Will & Testamt in manner & forme following, First I bequeath my Soule in to ye hands of athe Amighty God my maker, trusting to have my sins pardoned & my soule eternally saved only through ye satisfaction & merits of Lord Jesus Christ my alone Savior & Redeemer; & my BodyI commende to ye Earth, to be decently buried in ye Parish Churchyard of Denton.
