In 1679 Thomas and Richard Geere sold the property to Nicholas Tettersall (BRD 1/7/3) from whom it passed to Susanna his daughter who married Peter White of Lewes, gent. The latter was admitted by the right of his wife in 1703 (BRD 1/7/4). In 1713 it was sold to Thomas Pelling, clerk together with a copyhold of Rottingdean Manor (BRD 1/6/4-6).
