    happen to dye before her the said Mary and shee become a widdow) ffifty Pounds
    more of lawfull English money to be paid unto her w t hin Six monethes next after
    the decease of the said John DANN her Husband by my said Executor for her better
    mayntennce Item I give and bequeath unto Alice FARMER my daughter wife of
    Stephen FARMER of Easthouthlie aforesaid Three pounds a yeare of lawfull
    English money during her naturall life to be paid unto her the said Alice out of my
    said goods and parsonall estate quarterlie (that is to say) att the ffeast dayes of
    Saint Michaell the Archangell, the nativitie of our lord and Saviour Jesus
    Christ, the Annunciacon of the Blessed virgin Mary and the ffeast day of Saint
    John Baptist by even and equall portions to be paide by my said Executor And

    the first payment thereof to begin and be made uppon the ffirst ffeast day of the
    said ffeasts wich shall next happen after my decease (yf shee the said Alice shall
    lawfully demannde itt, Item I doe further give and bequeath unto the Childe that
    my said daughter Alice now goeth withall (yf shee be with childe) whether itt be
    sonne or daughter ffive Poundes of lawfull English money to be paide unto the said
    Childre when it shall come to the age of One and Twenty yeares by my said Executo r
    out of my said goods and personall estate Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne
    Richard being my seconde sonne Two Hundred pounds of lawfull English money

    yeares Provyded allwayes and my Will and true meaneing is That my eldest sonne
    Gregorie shalbe Gardian unto my said sonne Allexander untill hee shall accomplish
    his Age of One and Twenty yeares and shall receave and take upp the Rents and proffitts
    of my Coppiehold messuage or Tenement and lands thereunto belonging lying att
    Eastons Greene in the parish of Framfeild which I purchased of William PAYE and
    therewithall shall maynetayne and bring upp the said Allexander untill he accomplish
    his said age of One and Twenty yeares uppon Condicon That my sonne Gregorie shall
    not fell or cutt downe any tymber or wood standing or growing uppon the said land during
    the tyme that he is Gardian, Except it be for necessarie reparations of the said messuage
    or Tenement and buildings thereunto belonging. And as for my Coppiehold lands tenem ts
    and hereditam ts lying in Bucksted aforesaid I have them to discende and come unto my
    said eldest sonne Gregorie as my heire According as by the Custome of the Manno r of
    fframfeild whereof they are houlden, as they ought to descende The residue of all my
    moveable goods debts and Chattells I give and bequeath unto my said sonne Gregory
    whome my make my full and whole Executor of this my present Testament and
    last Will to pay my legacies before in this my Will given and bequeathed and to pforme
    the same and discharge my funeral expences. And I doe hereby nominate and appointe
    and earnestlie desire my welbeloved ffreinds Magnus BYNE Gent and Edwarde
    RUSSELL the younger of Framfeild to be my trustie Supervisors and Overseers of this my
    present Testament and last will, to see this my will performed according to the true

  • Anecdote: At the manorial court held 4 Apr 1689 some of the properties are transferred to John Elliott, yeoman.8

    John Elliott died before this court. Property to sons Obadiah Elliott and Thomas Elliott. Mentions land previously purchased off uncle Richard Elliott.
