However, the administration granted to George Belchamber, son of George Belchamber, in 1709 would seem to preclude this. It is clear though that this George Belchamber died before 1713, as the apprenticeship record for his son John Belchamber states that he is "son of George Bellchamber late of Lindfield". Other parish records show that the sons George and John were being supported by the parish at that time.³
