William Stow is a nephew to George's father, Robert Lipscombe, according to Robert's will. William Stow's mother, Sarah is thought to be Robert's sister Sarah Lipscombe, although Sarah's marriage has not been found.

• Death*: William Stow died on 4 August 1865 at Farnborough Cottage, Farnborough, Kent, England.³
• Probate*: His estate was probated on 28 August 1865 Effects under 1000 pounds. One of the executors is John Stow of Hadlow near Tunbridge, the other is Edward Stow of Upper Street Islington in Middlesex, corn dealer. Both are brothers of the deceased.⁴
